Get the Most From Your GoPro Cameras

A GoPro camera is a camera that is designed to be small, light and highly durable. The idea behind this is that it can then be used to attach to a surf board, a helmet, or the body of a vehicle, and that from there it can then record a 1st person perspective of the action for you to take home and edit to your heart's content. GoPro cameras are HD and have lots of settings meaning that you get a professional level of quality and that you can relive the action exactly as it happened. At the same time it means you don't need to pay a photographer, beg someone to hold a camera, or balance precariously while you set one up on timer.

But getting a GoPro Camera is not all there is to being successfully able to capture the action – you also need to make sure that you use it correctly and that you know how to get the best out of it. Here we will look at how to get the most from your GoPro camera.

Take Your Sport Seriously: First of all – make sure that you actually do your sport often and well. If you are the kind of person who has a craze one minute and then moves onto something else then you won't be able to progress to the point where you capture those fantastic images. Instead then make sure that you get lots of practice and that you work hard to chase those moments of extreme action.

Have it Always On: If you are doing your sport then you should have your GoPro camera with you at all times. Furthermore you should have it on. The reason for this is that in any sport you never know what's going to happen – and this is particularly true for extreme sports. Make sure then that you have it mounted and that you have it recording the whole time you have it with you, and make sure that you have it with you whenever you do sports. Then, when that incredibly moment happens, you'll be able to capture the action.

Use Lots of Memory Cards: You also need to make sure you don't run out of space on your memory card for storage. Otherwise you might do an amazing stunt or jump only to find out that you weren't recording as you had run out of space and that of course would be a highly disappointing experience. If you have several memory cards on you at once, then you can use this to film lots of footage and you can simply swap the card over when one fills up meaning you are never out of space.

Edit: Your photos will look amazing if they are taken on a GoPro HD camera. However you can still touch them up and the same goes for your videos. Use software such as Windows Movie Maker and Paint Shop Pro and you can this way make them look even more action packed with lens flares, motion blurs and focus adjustments.
